At MMBC we have two groups of lay leaders affirmed by our church family: elders and deacons.

Elders

Our elders are spiritual leaders responsible for the direction, values and priorities of our ministry. They partner with our pastoral and ministry staff to pursue our mission of faithful evangelism and fruitful equipping, as well as nurturing the individuals of our fellowship.

Deacons

As our elders focus on their role as "servant leaders", deacons are the "leading servants" in specific areas essential to our ministry together. Our deacons focus on financial accountability, wise stewardship of our facilities, administrative support of our worship services, and compassion for people needing benevolence assistance. Their priority is to make each of these areas an opportunity to equip others for ministry, becoming a team of people developers, not task-doers.
