Chris's Story:
I grew up as an agnostic in a family that never ever went to church. Early on I found myself driven to be a success in the classic American tradition - go to college, get a degree, get a good job, make lots of money, etc.
When I went away to college, I met people who actually claimed to have a personal relationship with God. They shared with me that God had sent His only Son Jesus to pay the penalty for all the things I had ever done wrong, and that by trusting in Jesus' death on the cross I could be forgiven and have a personal relationship with God too. At first I thought they were crazy but their answers started to make sense. As I began to notice the peace and joy they had, I became convinced that Jesus really was Who He claimed to be. After I asked Him to forgive me and be in control of my life, I began to experience new peace and joy, knowing that I was completely forgiven and that my life was meant for more than just getting a degree and a paycheck.
Quick Info:
Married to: Jen
Children: Joshko (2003), Michaela (2006), Sean (2008)
Education: Nothing that really stands out. I did complete both second and third grade in the same year. I also attended eight different schools by the ninth grade - that might be significant. I should also mention that one time, while serving at Princeton with Campus Crusade, Brooke Shields tried to meet me (she was a student there at the time).
