McKinney Church is a community of people whose lives are being changed as we grow in a loving relationship with God. This transformation is anchored in what Jesus Christ accomplished through His death on the cross and enables people to know the joy of a life that makes a difference forever. Beginning this relationship is simple enough for a child and yet so profound we will never fully grasp its blessings. To become Jesus’ follower the Bible encourages this response:

• 1. Admit that you have disobeyed God and are separated from Him because of your sin (Romans 3:23)
• 2. Acknowledge that the penalty for your sin is death – eternal separation from God and all His goodness (Romans 6:23)
• 3. Agree with God that Jesus Christ’s death on the cross in your place was full payment for your sin – a reality validated by His resurrection (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:17)
• 4. Accept this free gift of salvation by trusting in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of your sin and the blessings of eternal life (Romans 4:4-5; 5:1-5; 10:13)
